​Background and Experience
Krissi has over ten years' experience in the community mental health field as a Licensed Professional Counselor and a play therapist. Additionally, she has eight years in the education system as both a teacher and school counselor. She works with children, adolescents, and adults using Cognitive-Behavioral and Solution Focused Therapy approaches. She adapts these methods and creates goals to fit each client's individual needs. She incorporates play therapy, activity-based therapy, and expressive arts into therapy sessions when appropriate.

Personal Statement

I have a great desire to help others work through life's challenges and overcome obstacles. I believe working through these concerns in a therapeutic environment can be beneficial. I strive to provide a positive, caring, and trusting environment where you will feel open to exploration and personal growth. My goals for clients are to gain personal awareness, develop healthy satisfying lifestyles, and continue trying to reach their full potential. I am a wife and mother of two, and I look forward to helping you or a loved one during our journey to self-discovery and healing.

Education and Training

​Krissi received a Bachelors of Science degree from Stephen F. Austin State University in Elementary Education with a focus on Early Childhood. Additionally, she obtained a Masters of Science in Counseling from Southern Methodist University in both School Counseling and Professional Counseling.
